Just a quick note to say I will be in Stockholm until Thursday. I might have internet access there, but I wouldn't count on it.

I am, incidentally, proud of myself because of the two new books I bought to read on holiday, one is still unread. My self-control is mighty! The fact that I got these books four days ago in no way diminishes my achievement.

This isn't the first time I've been to Sweden, but it's the first time I've been to a bit with anything in it- before, it's just been a cut across the top from ridiculously pretty Norway (one of the most stupidly beautiful places in the world) to Finland, wherein can be found relatives, lakes, mosquitoes, sauna, alcohol, trees, nokia, reindeer and a lot of BBC TV.

My older brother moved to Stockholm about 18 months ago, which is why we (me, parents and the younger brother) are heading over. He's working as a chef in an Irish pub, which he's also done in Germany. Irish pubs are a universal constant.

You did know that, because we've had conversations about it before. I think the general gist was that your finnish rels are psycho and mine are sweet, though with a tendency to pick sickly mates.
