Five Things Tim and Kon will never forget about Young Justice for
amarin_rose
1) Tim's been called a freak a lot, but when in Young Justice, it wasn't an insult or an indication of failure to act with the appropriate social or emotional response. It was just a description. Dark hair. Short. Freak.
Even in Gotham, no-one said it quite like that.
2) Having a place that was theirs. Not a legacy, not like moving in to someone else's room. Even if it was an old hotel or a JLA back-up location, it was theirs, in a way that the Tower never can be.
3) Food. Everyone in YJ could cook, for certain definitions of the word “cook". That, combined with natural competitiveness and a refusal to admit there was something they couldn't do led to some of the biggest and most interesting meals any of them ever had. The smell of chocolate and orange, jumbalaya, grapefruit juice, maple syrup and barbecued ribs still makes them nostalgic.
4) The way, for a while, they couldn't rely on the JLA to back them up, or even to trust them, but they could rely on each other.
5) It was easier to get together than not.
6) While they were in space coming back to earth –and that took a long time, no matter how advanced the trip- Tim proved that he knew every line in Monty Python's Holy Grail, and was halfway through Life of Brian before they landed.
Five reasons Vril considers himself a perfect mate for
odditycollector.
1. Obviously, when he puts his mind to it, he is capable of orchestrating the kind of sexual pleasure that most species aren't even equipped to handle more than once or twice in a lifetime.
2. This is true even he doesn't put his mind to it.
3. He likes parenting. There's something about seeing your own opinions being formed in another's mind, without any artificial programming, seeing them grow and form. It's like a cross between running a world and gardening.
4. Some would argue that he has, in fact, had limited social, sexual or romantic experience. However, a significant proportion of that was with the Durlan, which means that he is both reasonably knowledgeable about the biosexual preferences of a significant number of species and very, very hard to shock.
5. Frankly, at this point, his standards in a mate are pretty low. As long as they don't try to kill him, he'd classify it as a successful relationship, which must take the pressure off them for trying to live up to him.

Vril is the sort of character better appreciated *from a distance*. (Although I shall admit #1 sounds pretty tempting.)
