One

"And be Ye Warned, for neither of Ye are wholey from this Earth, and though Ye are notte of the same Kinde, yet neither are Ye Horse and Ass, but Wolfe and Dogge. Yellow Sunne and Orange Starre may be a Mix'd Flame and bear Fruite

And so Ye must be Safe, when thou liest together. And also, muste Ye choose a Place which hath Right Stronge Walles."

"Kon," Tim says, face blank. "Is there something you want to tell us?"

Kon gives him a confused look. "Not especially."

"Maybe I should read that again, and this time pay special attention to the words 'Sun', 'Star' and 'Liest.'"

Kon looks at him for a moment, and then it clicks. He picks up the book, reads the prophecy over, then the ones either side, then flicks through the illustrations. "Tim, I swear I haven't-- I mean I've never even-- Okay, so I thought about it a little, but it's Kory, I'm just--"

"Genetically compatible alien species."

"Yeah, but I-- I mean, you don’t even know it's me! It could be Clark! Or Kara! Oh." Kon stops for a moment. "Hmm."

Tim looks at him and shakes his head. "Forget it. We'll talk about this later."

Two

"Thine Curiosity shall be Greate, and thou shalt wonder who to Choose, for you know much of Women's Love, and yet are Curious as to a Man's.
Thy Goddesses shalt say to Thee, Yay and Nay, and some shall object and some shall speak words of Encouragement.
Be Ye Wary, for many Men lacks the skill they Proclaim. Ye seek only Country Pleasures, and want notte a maze'like Love. Avoid Ye Gotham, and turne instead to the Archer, for though he be bolde and brash, in this, he does deserve his own praise. And after, he shall make Break-Faste, but shall not demand ye Call."

Diana taps the paper thoughtfully. Of course, she has thought about it. It is not forbidden to the Amazons, and if Athena disapproved, Aphrodite would give her blessing. Finding the right person to satisfy her curiosity with had been an idle thought for a while.

He wouldn’t have been her first thought, but Agnes had shown good judgement in the past, and her reasoning was sound. Simple, skilled -as good, perhaps, as Ollie claimed he was-, and with little complications.

Something to think about.

Three

"I'm not sure about the accuracy of some of her prediction," Dick says.

Roy shrugs and aims a loose punch. "Yeah? She's been spot on so far." He jerks his head back to avoid Dick's sharp kick. "You wanna risk breaking a winning streak?"

"I just don't see how this is going to help save the world-- oof." He lands against the mat, turns it into a sliding kick that knocks Roy off his feet.

"Hey, if it ain't broke, don’t fix it. The prophecies have worked out so far," Roy says. "This situation could come up--"

"Unlikely," Dick says, twisting in a way that makes Roy's back twinge in sympathy.

"--or chaos theory, butterfly flaps its wings, alien invasion is destroyed by a hurricane-- ah!" He tries to move against Dick's grip, Fails, because Dick has him pinned against the wall, and Roy's going to have to get him to show him that trick after. "I give," he says, and Dick lets him go.

Dick's standing there, frowning a little, but as loose and relaxed as he only really gets after some good physical exertion. Better than he's looked in a long time. "I'm really not convinced that naked training is going to save the world," Dick says.

Roy shrugs. "Yeah, but that's what you said about the blow-jobs."

Four

Eel was racing through the Tower, fast enough that even Wally was impressed.

"It appears he did not read his prophecies as Batman suggested, "J'onn said.

"Didn’t do his homework, huh?" Wally shrugged. "Some of those can be pretty hard to work out. Eel's not as dumb as he acts, but…"

"No," J'onn agreed. "However, the particular prophecy he ignored on this occasion was noticeably simpler than most. This may in part explain why Bruce's reaction is a little… strong."

"Yeah?" Wally said, leaning against a wall and watching Eel make another loop, bicycle shaped and with a horn screaming "I'm sorry!" as he went past. "What was it?"

J'onn held up a hand and waited until a familiar dark shadow had gone past. "I believe the exact words were, "Knocke First."

Wally winced.

End.
