You'll be pleased to know that it was a very full house -suprising, since it's not a big name orchestra or singer, but really nice, given that it was the fisrt time in the UK since '88. The singer (according to peoplewho know these things) was very good, lots of character and good German (and showed a lot of improvement) and probably did a lot of a opera -a real stage singer, lots of expression and gestures and singing *to* the audience.
But I think everyone was surprised by how big a crowd it was, and the whole thing was pretty lovely.
Also, I was thinking of lending you the St Trinians, just sticking it in the post when I do a care package.
