Request was a Discworld/Batfamily crossover.

"Oh dearie, dearie me," Granny said, rather like a sniper putting together his rifle. "Lawks." The snikt of the telescopic lens going on. "Of course, we’re just poor, backwards old ladies. No use at all. Lawks a'mercy."

It was actually pretty impressive, the way Batman managed to project his expressions through the mask and shadows. His eyes narrowed and his body grew very still.

Nanny Ogg sighed, sat down on a convenient bit of gargoyle, took off her hat and looked through her hat for the spare sandwich she kept there in case o emergencies. "Want some?" she said, looking at the nice young man next to her. "Looks like it might be a while before your man blinks."

Nightwing blinked and took the sandwich tentatively. "Uh, thanks. What's in it?"

"Special pickle sauce." Nanny leaned back, ostensibly to keep an eye on Granny and the Man in Black, but really so she could leer discretely at Nightwing's costume. "Good for what ails me."

end.

Omake!

"Dressing all in black!" Granny Weatherwax sniffed. "I can't be having with it."

"Could do with more people dressed like that," Nanny said cheerfully. "Course, there's not many in Lancre that can fill'em like that. Did you see that other one?"

"Yes, and I saw what you did to him, Gytha Ogg, may you be forgiven."

Nanny Ogg grinned. "Valuable life experience. Just a shame the butler confiscated my chutney before it could do any good."

Thank you, that's what I was going for.

So, did Batman blink first?

Yay! This was great -- Batman would absolutely be a witch if he were born on the Disc. And I think even Granny Wetherwax would be impressed by his command of drama and the underlying hard-headed practicality. These world would make an interesting mix -- thanks for such a cute teaser for it.

Exactly what I was going for. That Batman, born the wrong gender on the wrong world.

Thank you!

I love you! A stare-off between Granny Weatherwax and Batman!!! Now I'm busy trying to figure out who would win. Batman better keep Nightwing away from Nanny Ogg - I can soooo see her ogling him. Who wouldn't? I love how you got their voices so right on in such a short time.

So true!

*still basking in the wonderful crossoverness, but wouldn't mind if this turned into a longer fic*

Granny would win. Granny would *always* win. And theer might bet distractions, interruptions to save small children, capture teh Joker, etc. before they resumed the battle, but eventually-- Granny would win.

I already stretched the definition of drabble, plus you got an omake. Be *satisfied*.

I had a feeling she would. And yeah, I'm a greedy little fic-reader. Sowwy. I'm happy, promise!

Thanks again,
Kat

Oh good lord. Nightwing/Gytha.

On the bright side, Dick would probably come out of it saner than he went in. Not that that's saying a lot.

I'm now fighting the urge to write that.

Don't fight the urge. I *will* quote Oscar Wilde if you try to.

I love your icon, but every time I see it, I have to fight the urge to reply "But every day is abuse Nightwing day!"
