Various christmas fairies of various challenges

I'm easy, which is a tremendously unhelpful thing to say, but, there you go. I like cliches, I like emotional realism, I love people saying "I love you" without ever using the words, I like angst, so long as it's plausible, I like humour, I like... well, pretty much everything. The only things that I generally don't read more than once are hopeless misery -angst is one, as long as it's not utterly without hope for something better or different or other. AUs are fine, though dystopias don't really float my boat.

I have my favoured pairings but I'm really not wedded to the idea that A must be with B for the rest of their life, unchanging happily-ever-after, and break-ups might be horrible, but necessary, just in case that comes up in the fic. I like gen, het and slash. I'm pretty hard to squick.

What else? Well, I dislike bastardisation or bitchification of characters that aren't, you know, already utter bastards in their own right.
