So, Garryn Bek has gone crazy because of the Emerald Eye and is killing and beating his way through the L.E.G.I.O.N. He's even managing to more than hold his own against Lobo.

Vril Dox takes this pretty much as you'd expect. I love an inquiring mind, don't you?

My, but Garryn is making a mess, isn't he? He seems very enthusiastic. I wonder why?

Ah, all becomes clear. Really, who can blame him? (and I need that speechbubble as an icon).

Garryn wants Vril to come out. Vril wants to do a detailed analysis.

Garryn really, really wants Dox. I really, really agree. I don't know that I'd beat-up and murder teammates to get him, but I don't know that I wouldn't either.

Now this is how to talk to crazy violent teammates that are obsessed with you.

And the final pages, which are the pretty much the whole reason I posted this:

Dox. Just one letter away from Dom. Tell me that last picture doesn't make you go mmm. And not just because Vril looks so much like his descendent. Gotta say, I think reboot Brainy owes a lot to Vril, and I'm okay with that.

O_o

Wow. Um.... I half want to know context, and I'm half afraid to ask.And I half want to read the subsequent slash story.

And is Dox really an ancestor of Brainy from the Legion or are they just very much alike?

Yes, he is an ancestor, and the resemblence is pretty strong sometimes. And the context is pretty much what it says; Bek goes crazy and kills a bunch of L.E.G.I.O.N.aires in his desire to get Dox. Get to Dox, rather. *Looks at scans again* No, I was right the first time.

I held [livejournal.com profile] girl_starfish at gunpoint and forced her to make me this icon. The shot was just perfect for the quote.

Yeah, *quite* the scene, ain't it? The Dox/Bek is pretty impressive in early L.E.G.I.O.N.--though not so much later on, sadly.

I wouldn't know, I don't have them and I need them so badly.

Are you hinting again?

Yep.

You say hinting, I say "throwing myself on the mercy of the internet and pleading for generosity."

I have always depended on the kindness of my flist.

Did the other ones I sent get through (the ones I posted scans from)? You never acknowledged 'em, so I don't know if it worked.

Yes, I did. I'm sorry, I just forgot to comment on them.

It's actually painful. I managed to get hold of L.E.G.I.O.N 1, 13-27, 56-58, 62-70, 29, 31, 42, 49 and the annuals, but that still leaves me with massic painful holes in my collection.

While at the same time being more than enough to show that Vril is dom for more than just Bek. I mean, "He was my master and I was his pet."? And I have to say, topping tentcaly-shapechangers is probably a whole other level.

Did you get 1-12 from me? Here's the link, anyway; should still work. http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3NJSVBVK9VRQ31DTR5YTHVRK91

And Dox is the Domiest Dom in the DCU, although I'm not sure if he's remotely capable of a consentual, much less healthy sexual relationship...

Weirdly, I think he had a couple of moments with Lyrissa. I, meanwhile have to fight the urge for gratuitous slash pairings. Not least because finding out that Vril was an artificially aged clone with an evil father figure is no basis for a slash pairing.

After you so kindly gifted me with L.E.G.I.O.N. 1-12, can I ask you for more? I've managed to get a lot, but I'm still missing 30, 32-41, 46, 54, 55, 60, 61 and R.E.B.E.L.S. 3-7.

I have so much love for this series, and it's not surprising when Giffen wrote/created the early issues and Waid has more than a few writing credits.

You should have all of them now. Let me know if there are problems.

It's a lovely lovely series.

Well...you could write me Doxfic! Dox/Bek or Dox/Durlan would be especially appreciated. :)
