work rant

Stupid teachers who tell me I have a sentaku class.

Or more accurately, don't tell me until about ten minutes before the class. Because you know, it's not like I need time to prepare or get organised. No really. Oh, and I'm going to be teaching this class alone? Well, I would have liked you there to apologise for fucking up and not giving me time to prepare, but really, I'm okay with you not being there.

No, I can't just do what I did last week with the ninensei, in the sanensei task, because they did those songs when they were sannensei, that's why. And it's lucky that I even had the CDs with me.

So I managed to pull something together, but the class started late

It's lucky that I hadn't unpacked my CDs and just had them with me-- or most of them, buT i had to find the right tracks, and hit the copier and the scissors hard, when the copiers are all in use by other teachers.

And having to set up stuff in class... that's pretty disrespectful for the students, and takes time out of their work.

Inthe end, I got through the activties and they did them, but it was all messy and I won't be abl to reuse the equipment and the whole lesson was just a drag because the stupid, stupid idiot...

It was lucky the class at went along with it. Even the bit where they had to check if they had the right strips, and wait for me to run back to the copier room and find the missing Js, which I'd left on the guillotine because I was running late to get to the class.

So, you know, it went, the activities were okay, but everything else- setting up, checking answers, packing away- was just a mess and...

Even just ten more minutes would have helped. I was in school early, if he'd let me know then.

At least it's over now. Do you think mentioning that you need more warning before a class would have any attempt? Your teachers seem to be throwing a lot of surprise classes your way lately, and that is not a good trend. *hugs*

This was the babyteacher-- he'd doublebooked or something.

And you know, my teachers always throw classes at me to a certain extent-- two weeks warning at the most, usually a week to 24 hours. I can cope with that, as long as I have at least one free period to dig through my stuff and hit the photocopier.
