Brief Christmas update
Have got up, stuffed turkey, slathered it in butter and bacon, wrapped chippolatas in bacon, peeled potatoes, creatively interpretted the statement "we don't need many roast potatoes", cut carrots, made tea, seasoned the milk for bread sauce by letting it come to teh boil with an onion, 18 cloves (I love cloves. They look like little maces)and a bay leaf, read my Yuletide pressie (Johnny Maxwell! Yay!), read through some others and will be making a recs list because just *wow*. So much quality, quality stuff on there.
Still to do for Christmas lunch, in no particular order:
Get dressed.
Prepare parsnips (or get older brother to do that. He is to parsnips what I am to roast potatoes, ie. very good).
Cook turkey.
Parboil poatoes.
Roast potatoes, parsnips, etc. (see above)
Roast turkey.
Make breadsauce.
Gravy.
Salad?
White sauce.
Pick brussel spouts from the garden.
Cook them.
Steam Christmas pudding.
I'm sure I'll think of more to do.
