That is some pretty, pretty yarn, and I don't even knit.

It's good stuff, it's just stuff that I'm not going to use-- leftovers from projects, mostly.

I really like the hand-dyed silk, that's lovely. I have a book of yours, too, we must meet up soon (stupid kidney, stupid stupid kidney) and catch up and swap stuff <333

oooh I like it all, but not wanting to be too greedy, I especially like the green aran (but I don't think there'd be enough for a hat, hmm) and the dark Lisa Souza laceweight (I'm thinking a cowl). I like the light blue aran silk but can't think what I'd do with it so I suppose someone else should get that!

I'm wondering if I should start dyeing some yarns for some extra cash... people seem to snap that stuff up on the internet. Hmm.

That'd be great-- which silk, the 4ply or the aran?

I also need to give you back some Georgette Heyer, while I'm at it.

Could be worth trying! Put some stuff on folksy and etsy, advertise on your blog, get your friends to pimp it. Worse comes to worst, you've got some hand-dyed yarn of your own.

Ooh, the four-ply. I like that :D

I'd forgotten about those! Did you read them? I love them so!

And are you going to Amanda Palmer on Wednesday?

Oh, oh, it's all so pretty. I know you say free to a good home, but I'm willing to pay, if you have a paypal account? I know how expensive nice yarn can be, and it doesn't seem right for you to lose out monetarily.

I'd like the aran silk 114 g, and the aran silk 93 g. (And if no one else wants it, the 4ply silk 93 g?)

Maybe a swap? Are you on ravelry.com by any chance?

[identity profile] jamjar.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Not going to Amanda Palmer, unfortunately. Which 4ply or did you want both?

[identity profile] jayest.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
It's all very pretty!

[identity profile] jamjar.livejournal.com 2009-02-02 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I know! It's all too nice to bin, but nothing that I'm ever going to use, you know?

Do you want to email me your address? jamjar -at- livejoural dot com is fine.

Ack, I'm sorry to take so long to reply - school ate my life (my school was on strike for a few months, which meant that as soon as the strike ended, there was a deluge of presentations and papers due RIGHT AWAY, hellaciously).

I left my stash at home, alas, though I'm building up a new one on this side of the country. I did buy this from yarntopia that I could possibly swap with you?

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=13787986

I wound the skeins into balls, and have been knitting armwarmers for friends, but I still have an intact ball or two (which is to say the full 360 yds). Sorry I don't have much else to swap; all the other yarn in my possession right now is not worth the shipping fees. My offer of (at least) partial reimbursement stands!

I'll pm you my address now. ^_^ Thaaaank you.
